Since 1994 and the launch of the PCM 100 Series, the staff at IMS in Bradford, West Yorkshire, in the United Kingdom have been building and servicing the units for Pall’s extensive user base. Pall’s success with the PCM 100 and the replacement 400 series of mesh blockage particle trending devices has resulted in nearly 2,000 units being sold worldwide. The reliability of these PCM units has ensured their place in many applications from roll-off cleanliness monitoring to condition monitoring programs. The robust PCM units have proved capable in many industries from military and offshore to industrial environments such as steel and paper mills.
David Armstrong, MD at IMS Ltd., says this is a major plus for the user. “As a result of users being able to deal directly with us, we can now offer a far quicker turnaround of the units and this is also more competitively priced,” he says. “This is encouraging more users to get their PCM units back to us for a service with our service workload up 20 percent in the last quarter already.”
