Lack of Lubrication Puts Tube Station to Screeching Halt

One of London's busiest Tube stations was partly closed during rush hour on March 10 because the trains were too noisy.


Transport for London admitted the problem, caused by a lack of lubrication on the tracks, could have been prevented but could not say how loud the screeching was.
