Royal Purple, a manufacturer of high-performance lubricants, announced March 8 that it is once again tapping New York DJ Funkmaster Flex to promote its latest lines of lubricants in his new television series "Funk Flex Full Throttle" and popular national Custom Car and Bike Show tour. Royal Purple will be featured as the official lubricant of the show and tour.

After a successful partnership with Funkmaster Flex in 2009, Royal Purple – a company with products designed to maximize performance in real-world real applications – was excited to find that Flex was expanding both his television and cross-country car show tour presence. Flex is a tireless fanatic of car customization who allows his show and tour to serve as platform for authentic gearheads, customizers, rodders and young tuners to showcase their talents in front of fans, celebrities and auto industry leaders. These hardcore automotive aficionados use products like Royal Purple daily and put it to the test on the street or local racetrack.

"Flex knows what real car fanatics need inside their rides," said Mark McFann, Royal Purple’s vice president of sales and marketing. "Whether it's inspiring a young person to become a mechanic or educating a celebrity on muscle cars, Flex always gives 110 percent, and that is why Royal Purple is renewing its commitment to him in 2010."

“Car customers are a group of unique individuals that define the creative future of the auto industry," said Flex. "I hope my tour and show provide an excellent platform to showcase their talents, inspire new ideas and keep things popping in 2010. I am extremely thankful to Royal Purple for supporting me in these efforts."
