Inolex Synthetic Esters Approved by Canadian Food Inspection Agency

Eight Inolex Lexolube synthetic esters were recently approved for use in food-processing applications by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA).

The approved products appear in the official CFIA reference guide for approved materials and include Lexolube FG-68 H1 OCL, Lexolube FG-100 H1 OCL, Lexolube FG220 H1 OCL, Lexolube FG350 H1 OCL, Lexolube FG-68 HX1, Lexolube FG-100 XH1, Lexolube FG-220 HX1 and Lexolube FG-350 HX1.

“Certification by the CFIA is very important,” said Tyler Housel, lubricants business director at Inolex. “Their standards are high, and acceptance has opened up a variety of new opportunities for us.”

Inolex synthetic esters are used to produce lubricants for food processing, textile manufacturing, metalworking fluids, hydraulic fluids, chain lubricants and low-temperature oils and greases. Heat resistant to 500 degrees F (260 degrees C), they are flexible and adaptable to practically any application challenge.
