Industrial Innovations Introduces Portable Lubricant Mixing Systems

Noria news wires

Industrial Innovations recently introduced new portable lubricant and coolant mixing systems to eliminate the practice of manual hand-mixing and transporting pails of mixed lubricant across the plant floor.

The Pro-Mix MS proportioning systems are intended to provide a mixture of lubricant or coolant concentrate with water at adjustable ratios ranging from 4-to-1 to 40-to-1. By producing a homogeneous lubricant mixture, the systems are designed to allow metalworking equipment to run more efficiently while improving uptime, die life and part quality.

Utilizing a pneumatic paddle-wheel agitator, the systems continuously mix liquids in a 30-gallon stainless-steel reservoir, which is important for fluids containing solids that may fall out of solution. Sensors detect liquid levels that automatically initiate the mixing system on demand as the mixed lubricant is distributed to the point of application.

Distribution to the press is accomplished using a 37-gallon-per-minute air diaphragm pump with a pulse-dampening accumulator.

The stainless-steel positive-displacement proportioning pump maintains an accurate and repeatable dilution ratio while offering long service life. The maximum flow rate of the proportioning pump is 7 gallons per minute.

Positioned at the point of use, the compact systems come equipped with casters for easy placement within a facility and can support one or multiple presses running the same lubricant or coolant dilution ratio. A simple hook-up to 120-volt power, plant compressed air and water enables the systems to be up and running quickly and easily.
