Axel Royal recently unveiled a new biodegradable grease to meet the needs of the industrial industry. The Enviroguard EP grease is a lithium-complex lubricant that is manufactured solely from renewable base oil and fortified with environmentally safe additives for greater performance under heavy loads, water ingress conditions and moderately high temperatures.

The specialized grease is formulated to be compatible with other multi-purpose greases and offers thermal and oxidation stability, water resistance, and a prolonged shelf life. It also provides extreme pressure and rust and corrosion protection in a wide range of applications, including marine, mining, farming, municipality construction and wastewater treatment plants.

Although intended for bearing applications, the Enviroguard EP grease has also proven effective in open gear and wire rope applications.

The lubricant, which has a smooth, creamy appearance and is amber in color, has a temperature range of 0 to 250 degrees F (minus 18 to 120 degrees C). It is also heavy-metal-free, environmentally safe and meets the Vessel General Permit (VGP) requirements.

The grease is available in 14-ounce tubes, 35-pound pails, 120- to 400-pound barrels, 2,000- to 2,400-pound bulk containers and 45,000-pound tankers.
