HIAC Introduces New Particle Counter

Noria news wires

HIAC recently introduced a new liquid particle counting system that enables one-button sampling and yields results in less than 60 seconds.

The HIAC 8011+ is capable of testing fluids from 1 to 425 centistokes without dilution and features a sample management system to ensure consistent, accurate data. The pressurized sample delivery reduces the impact of bubbles, while the integrated vacuum/degas function streamlines sample handling for increased accuracy. Sample flow is automated for precision data.

Intelligent on-screen prompts guide users through common sampling activity with user alerts for particle settling and run-to-run variances. The advanced instrument diagnostics also provide recommended actions for users and smart sensor alerts for service and calibration.

Application-specific reports can be created in PDF or Excel format and exported via a USB memory stick or Ethernet. An embedded Web browser allows for reviewing and approving online reports.

The instrument also lets users set up their own sampling recipe in less than five steps and quickly load up to 20 custom test recipes.

Common applications for the HIAC 8011+ liquid particle counter include lab sampling, large volume samples, corrosives, hydraulic fluids, fuel oils, water, alcohol, solvents and glycols.
