Cortec recently introduced a new biodegradable lubricant and penetrant for a variety of industrial and household applications. EcoLine ELP (Extreme Lubricant Penetrant) is formulated from natural seed oils and select additives that offer lubricity, high performance and low environmental impact. It can be used on all types of metal for a wide range of purposes around the shop, plant or home, decreasing the need to stock multiple lubricants.

Whether lubricating moving parts, loosening rusty bolts or cooling/lubricating basic metal-cutting operations, the all-purpose lubricant can be applied to multi-metal parts for general lubrication, penetration and corrosion protection, as well as for milling, tapping, reaming, grinding and drilling.

In addition to providing lubrication and protection against rust and corrosion, EcoLine ELP can repel water and allow higher equipment operating speeds by cooling moving parts and reducing smoke. It features high flash and fire points, is not toxic to plants and is chlorine-free.

With 95 percent biobased content certified by the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), EcoLine ELP is also a qualified product under the USDA’s Bio Preferred Program. The lubricant comes in 11-ounce aerosol cans but is available in pails, totes and bulk for heavy use.
