Klüber recently introduced new gear oils in its maintenance, repair and operations (MRO) portfolio to optimize gearbox performance across a variety of industries, including food and beverage, pharmaceutical, and automotive applications.

The expanded MRO gear oil portfolio includes both food-grade and nonfood-grade oils as well as mineral-based and synthetic polyalphaolefin (PAO)-based lubricants. Each of the oils is intended for use in equipment with industrial spur, bevel, hypoid and planetary gears subject to normal and heavy loads. They also feature scuffing resistance to help protect equipment and prevent wear.

Among the new offerings in the portfolio include the Klüberoil MEG 1, which is a multipurpose, mineral-based, extreme-pressure (EP) gear oil that can be used to lubricate bearings, couplings, chains and more.

The Klübersynth G4, which is a PAO-based rust and oxidation (R&O) gear oil, and the Klübersynth EG 4, which is a PAO-based EP gear oil, offer oxidation resistance to extend relubrication intervals and advanced formulations to improve gear efficiency.

The Klüberoil NH1 G1 is a mineral-based, food-grade gear oil that incorporates antioxidant additives to prolong oil life, while the Klüberoil NH1 G4 is a PAO-based food-grade gear oil that provides oxidation resistance to extend relubrication intervals. Both of these oils are registered as NSF H1 lubricants for incidental contact with food.
