PolySi Technologies recently announced that it has acquired the silicone grease product line of Specialty Silicone Products (SSP).SSP’s silicone greases are used in a variety of applications, including high-voltage electrical utility, automotive, appliance and electronics industries. With a manufacturing facility in Ballston Spa, New York, SSP supports a customer base that is located throughout the United States, Canada and Mexico.

“SSP offers an exceptional product fit with our other lubricants and greases,” said Chuck Leuth, president and chief executive officer at PolySi Technologies. “SSP’s silicone greases complement our vast silicone lubricant product line and enhance our product offering. The expanded customer base in the industrial markets, specifically on the West Coast, will only allow us to grow faster in areas we do not have a strong presence currently. More importantly, I’m most excited welcoming new customers from diverse industries into the PolySi customer family.”

A U.S.-based manufacturer of silicone, synthetic and specialty greases and lubricants, PolySi has also expanded into the Middle East, Southeast Asia and Japan. The company specializes in custom-formulating greases and packaging into single-use packets, tubes, jars and cans.

“PolySi is an outstanding lubricant manufacturer,” said Paul DiCaprio, SSP president. “We feel it is in the best interest of our customers to be transitioned to a company that knows and understands how to manufacture silicone greases and shares our similar values of quality and customer service.”
