Dr. Debasish Mukherjee

Dr. Debasish Mukherjee is a freelance consultant working mainly in lubrication and contamination control. He graduated with honors in 1976 from Burdwan University in West Bengal, India, then earned a post-doctorate degree from IIT (Indian Institute of Technology) Kharagpur, and worked with Caterpillar dealership companies in Kolkata, West Bengal, from 1999-2022.

Dr. Mukherjee spends most of his professional time now giving lectures and consulting with companies in the areas of lubrication best practices, oil analysis, site assessments, gap analyses, training & education, and lubrication-related failure probabilites and analysis (FMEA, RCFA). In addition to his decades of experience, Dr. Mukherjee has been published numerous times in international academic journals and industrial publications.
