Royal Purple Unveils Mobile Accessible Web Site and Downloadable Game

Noria news wires

High-performance lubricant company Royal Purple has entered the rapidly growing mobile app world with its new game iRev. The game challenges players to identify the sounds of a variety of high-performance engines.

“iRev is targeted to both gear-heads and gear-head wanna-bes,” said Mark McFann, vice president of sales and marketing. “This new mobile application tests your high-performance Ear-Q and is a fun way to stay connected to the automotive world.”

It's free of charge and can be downloaded and played on any smart phone that supports Flash Lite software by visiting www.irev.mobi or downloading it free from the iTunes app store.

A complete list of compatible phones is available at adobe.com/mobile/supported_devices/handsets.html

iRev will be available for iPhones within the next 90 days.

In addition to the new iRev game, Royal Purple also recently redesigned its core Web site www.royalpurple.com to accommodate smart phones across the board in addition to regular web traffic. Just type www.royalpurple.com in the address bar of your cell phones browser and you'll automatically be redirected to the mobile site. If you wish to view the full site, just click on the “full site” link and you will bypass the redirection code to view the regular site.

iRev and the retooling of the Royal Purple Web site to a mobile friendly atmosphere are just two of the many upcoming mobile initiatives that Royal Purple will be pursuing this year.

“In this day and age, it’s more important than ever to keep up with the technological advances being made, as well as how consumers are using technology to access their information,” said McFann. “That’s why we have made it one of our core initiatives this year to increase our mobile presence starting with the retooling of the Web site to be mobile friendly and the launch of the new iRev game. The times are a changing, and Royal Purple’s changing with them.”
