Engineered Custom Lubricants Forms German Subsidiary

Engineered Custom Lubricants (ECL) recently announced the formation of a new subsidiary in Hamburg, Germany. ECL Engineered Custom Lubricants GmbH will serve as ECL's new EU headquarters.

"Our customers are asking us to expand to support their global operations, which makes a European footprint very important to ECL," said Ian Rowell, president of ECL.

Ulf Herrmann will be the managing director of the new subsidiary. With nearly 20 years of experience in automotive lubrication, Herrmann has worked closely with many global equipment manufacturers, including BMW, Chrysler, Daimler, Ford and General Motors.

"Our global business has tripled since the 2008 recession," said Paul Bedford, ECL's vice president of sales and marketing. "In support of this growth, ECL continues to expand its manufacturing, sales and marketing presence globally. We have aggressive growth goals that are focused on technology leadership, customer satisfaction and globalization."
