Noria news wires

RelaDyne recently acquired the lubricants and tank wagon fuel businesses of Maxum Petroleum's Great Lakes division, which is comprised of Hartney Fuel Oil Co. and Paulson Oil Co.

The acquisition will allow RelaDyne to increase its current product offering in the Great Lakes region to include fuel as well as offer its customer base a completely new line of products and services.

"The location of Maxum's Paulson Oil Co. in Chesterton, Ind., gives us a natural expansion to offer new products and services to the Chicago marketplace," stated Larry Stoddard, CEO of RelaDyne. "We couldn't be more pleased to add Maxum/Paulson to the RelaDyne family of businesses."

Maxum's lubricants and tank wagon fuel businesses will also enable RelaDyne to expand its field reliability management (FRM) services in the commercial and industrial markets of the Great Lakes and Midwest regions. Maxum's transport and railroad fuel businesses were acquired by Mansfield Oil Co.

"We are excited to join the extensive and successful networks of Mansfield and RelaDyne," said Paul McCusker, vice president and general manager of Maxum Petroleum's Great Lakes division. "These acquisitions will allow us to better serve our customers through a larger product offering and higher levels of service."
