Fluitec Releases New Additive to Control Oil Deposits

Noria news wires

Fluitec International recently introduced a new oil additive as a deposit-control and decontamination solution for multiple industries, including manufacturing, paper, marine and mining applications.

DECON is formulated with patent-pending technology to not only decontaminate systems containing deposits, varnish and sludge, but also to prevent the fluid from creating any additional deposits.

The chemical solution is designed to start working immediately after being introduced to an oil system by dissolving oil degradation products. It then continues to work long term, protecting critical lubrication and hydraulic systems from the harmful effects of oil oxidation by-products.

“The right concentration of DECON added to an in-service fluid provides a cost-effective and extremely efficient way of managing oil degradation and varnish,” said Greg Livingstone, chief innovation officer at Fluitec.

The additive can be used to prevent deposits in thermally stressful systems, such as cooling tower gearboxes and high-pressure hydraulic systems, as well as to decontaminate lube systems between oil changes in wind turbines and compressors.

“DECON allows us to further service our existing customer base and expand into many other industries,” said Pierre Vanderkelen, Fluitec’s chief executive officer.
