Noria news wires

Dow Corning lubricants application engineer Chad Chichester recently was named as the technical committee co-chair for the National Lubricating Grease Institute (NLGI), a lubrication technology organization comprised of members from 26 countries.

In this appointed role, Chichester will apply more than 20 years of experience to ensure that NLGI remains at the forefront of new lubrication technology and is well-informed in matters related to manufacturing, research, industrial standards and government regulations.

Chichester will also lead the development of technical sessions for the NLGI annual meeting, including the grease education program, and will provide technical guidance to both NLGI members and nonmembers.

"Having previously been active as an instructor and course chair, this new role feels like a very logical next step in my NLGI involvement," Chichester said. "I'm honored to have been selected to serve in this way, and I look forward to helping increase the knowledge and level of expertise among the NLGI community."

The NLGI was established in 1933 with the objectives to disseminate information that can lead to the development of better lubricating greases for the consumer and to provide better grease lubrication engineering service to the industry.
