Petro-Canada Launches New Line of Metalworking Fluids

Noria news wires

Petro-Canada Lubricants recently launched a new line of non-chlorinated metalworking fluids to help reduce friction over a wide range of operations. The METWORX product line is available in a variety of options for both general-purpose and specific applications such as milling, turning, drilling, tapping and grinding.

The NEATCUT HD 32 CF is a medium-viscosity, neat cutting fluid, while the SOLCUT HD 2500 CF is a soluble cutting oil for rapid heat removal. The SYNCUT 300 HD XL and 150 LD XL are low-foam, biostable, semi-synthetic fluids, with the 300 HD XL designed for moderate to heavy-duty operation, and the 150 LD XL for light to moderate application.

Rounding out the line are the SYNCUT 99 FS, which is a light-duty, low-foam, biostable synthetic fluid, and the System Cleaner WS, which is a low-foam alkaline cleaner for coolant sumps and surfaces.

"We're excited to offer a new, expanded line of metalworking fluids to the market," said Brad Palmer, Petro-Canada Lubricants' category manager of specialty products and greases. "METWORX metalworking fluids' mild, pleasant odor and exceptional cleanliness also help improve the working environment and are extremely operator-friendly. Compliant with the impending regulations surrounding chlorinated paraffin additives, customers can also enjoy the peace of mind that the METWORX non-chlorinated product line meets regulatory requirements."
