NanoMech’s AtomLube Grease Wins Edison Award

NanoMech’s AtomLube All Purpose Grease was recently named a 2019 award winner by the Edison Awards for innovation, creativity and ingenuity. Inspired by Thomas Edison’s persistence and inventiveness, the Edison Awards recognize game-changing products and services along with the teams that brought them to consumers.

"It’s exciting to see companies like NanoMech continuing Thomas Edison’s legacy of challenging conventional thinking," said Frank Bonafilia, executive director of the Edison Awards.

Engineered using the principles of nanomanufacturing, AtomLube All Purpose Grease combines three premium options (heavy-duty grease, multi-purpose grease and marine grease) into a single lubricant. It can be used in mechanical components and systems, including bearings, pins, studs, joints, couplings, plugs, bushings, chassis, motors, pumps, conveyors and other contacting surfaces where long-lasting lubrication is desired.

"In addition to reduced SKUs, this nano-engineered premium grease product does not just eliminate friction and wear at nano-scale, it also significantly extends the application range of grease by providing superior extreme-pressure protection as well as corrosion and water resistance," said James M. Phillips, chairman and CEO of NanoMech Industries.

Incorporating high-performance base stocks, a lithium-complex thickener and multi-component lubricant additives, the all-purpose grease is formulated to offer high-temperature performance, longer service life, water resistance, rust and corrosion protection, extreme-pressure (EP) resistance, and anti-wear properties. It is also approved by NLGI GC-LB, which is the highest automotive grease certification.
