Petronas Introduces 0W-20 Heavy-Duty Diesel Engine Oil

Petronas Lubricants International (PLI) recently introduced its first 0W-20 heavy-duty diesel engine oil for the new Euro VI generation engines.

Petronas Urania Next 0W-20, which is the result of the company's long-term collaboration with truck and diesel engine manufacturer Iveco, was developed exclusively for Iveco's global fleet. The commercial vehicle lubricant is qualified to Iveco Standard 18-1804 TLV LS and offers enhanced fuel economy with fuel savings up to 2.5 percent in specific vehicle operating conditions.

"We set out to ensure a quality product to meet the specific requirement of our partner, as is central to our philosophy of collaborative technology partnerships," said Dr. Andrew Holmes, head of group technology for Petronas Lubricants International. "The fact that the Petronas Urania Next 0W-20 blazed a trail in the industry is an added bonus and feather in our technology cap."

Petronas Urania products not only are the recommended engine lubricants for Iveco's full range of light and heavy-duty commercial vehicles, but they will also be used by Team Petronas De Rooy Iveco to compete in the 2015 Dakar, which is recognized as the most grueling off-road endurance rally in the world.
