Raul Fernandes

Mechanical engineer with a master’s degree in tribology and more than 15 years of expertise in asset reliability and industrial maintenance. Certified by the International Council for Machinery Lubrication (ICML) as an MLT II, FPL, and MLE, Raul combines deep technical knowledge with practical field experience. He has authored a peer-reviewed paper published by Elsevier, contributing to the advancement of tribological studies. He has also presented at the STLE webinar Industry Insights about rolling bearing lubrication and at the Lubricant Expo Europe 2025 about biolubricants. Throughout his career at Interlub Group, Raul has focused on using specialized lubrication to achieve consistent results in reducing environmental impact across many industrial sectors such as steel, mining, and food. He is passionate about sharing knowledge in lubrication and tribology and today publishes articles for the Interlub blog, ICML's The Lube Room magazine, Noria’s Machinery Lubrication, and Lube Magazine (Lube-Tech).
